DIPLOMA OF CHILDREN’S SERVICES

I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 9 years, in 2008, when the centre opened I became a qualified group leader at Waurnvale Drive Early Learning & Kinder. I then stepped up into the role of assistant director in 2012 and in 2015 I became the Centre Director. I view the educators at Waurnvale Drive EL&K as my family and enjoy developing strong relationships with the children and families within the centre.

DIPLOMA IN CHILDREN’S SERVICES

Currently studying TRAINING & ASSESSING

I started working with children in 2007 after completing certificate III in children services.

I love watching children in play, listening to the new words, and being a part of their lives as they grow.

I get out of watching the children grow and mature / play / learn etc- Watching the children come in to a environment designed just for them, where everything is at their level and accessible to each child throughout the day. Watching children become more and more confident within themselves as well as comfortable with educators.

I’m passionate about working as a team , working together to achieve greatness. Passionate about being a part of child’s life and knowing that children have just as much respect and care for me as I do for them.

POSTGRADUATE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHING

After working as a nanny and coordinator in outside school care I decided to continue my passion and further my studies working with children. I completed a Postgraduate in Early Childhood Teaching at RMIT University and I am now working as the Kindergarten Teacher at Waurnvale Drive Early Learning & Kinder. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting many wonderful children and families within our full-time Kindergarten program and I aspire to create an inspiring, creative and supportive environment that prepares children for a love of learning through their life.

CERTIFICATE III IN HOSPITALITY

I have been working at the centre since 2009 and I thoroughly enjoy cooking for the children, giving them a variety of fresh, healthy foods each day.  I have always enjoyed working with children, they are my passion.  Evidently, I have eight of my own!  Plus three step children and thirty grandchildren – so far.  When my children were younger, I took part in helping coach their teams for after school activities and teaching them the benefits of leading a healthy, active life.
